About the Author

Natalie Popp, of Fitchburg, Wisconsin, is a titleholder within the Miss America Teen Organization, where she promotes her Community Service Initiative, “Teens for Heroes.” This program is committed to honoring and supporting our active military and veterans. As Miss Madison’s Teen, Natalie authored her debut children’s book, Lew for the Red, White, and Blue. Her connection with Dr. Lew Harned began during their volunteer work together at a food pantry. Natalie wants to make sure our nation’s veterans are never forgotten, and that their memories and stories live on forever. She hopes her book will inspire students across the country to thank our military and have a profound appreciation for their service.
